Bright Lights thanks to sustainable electricity

BEK Bioenergie Killertal GmbH has been supplying the energy from a biomass CHP plant to the Ridi Leuchten GmbH site in Jungingen since 2011.
We at M+M have now successfully replaced a steam engine with a nine-stage turbine in cooperation with the BEK. District heating is used by the lamp manufacturer Ridi-Leuchten for their production.
Our turbine has an output of 710KW and a speed of 8940 rpm. In addition, two condensers were designed and installed: a vacuum condenser and a heating condenser for district heating.
A very constructive collaboration comes to an end and Peter Pitzen from BEK was very satisfied, not least because of the higher performance of our turbine.
Successful completion of the cooperation: In the picture (from left) Richard Diez (owner Ridi Leuchten), Peter Pitzen (commercial manager BEK), Bilal Tufan (project manager M+M) and Rudolf Willms (service technician M+M).
