“The collaboration with M+M was shaped by a purposeful and cooperative approach in reaching the common objective. The planning, building and commissioning were really good and constructive.“
Uwe Emig, Head of plant engineering, Evonik Industries
Das Ziel:
An old turbine was required to be replaced by two new plants purpose-designed by us. This was our first plant with three feeds and a fresh steam line. The greatest challenge in this case was not the size of the performance but the geometric size. Two in-line turbines weighed 55 tons and had to be lowered into place on site over the roof with a 700 ton crane. This required the greatest dexterity from all sides and millimetre-precise design on our part.
Unsere Lösung nach Maß:
Due to the great weight it was necessary to reinforce the existing foundation. Our own design, conceived for this, saved the customer from having to demolish the foundation completely. As there were special requirements on the part of the customer for the gearbox, flexible dealings with the suppliers was stipulated in order to deliver the perfect parts such as the generator and the gearbox.
Der Projektverlauf:
As there was also a high degree of expert knowledge available on the customer's side, there were many intensive discussions which lead to a smooth procedure. For both sides, the exchange of information between so many experts was only advantageous.
“Throughout the entire period, communication was very trustful and on a very professional level. Dealings were very fair on both sides and the project was seen through to the end in a cooperative manner.“
Thorsten Uekötter, Project manager, M+M Turbinen-Technik
Aktueller Stand:
Running smoothly since commissioning in February 2012. We have been maintaining the turbines annually since then.
